The Bloomington-Posoltega Committee of Sister Cities International is a non-profit organization that supports projects and programs in Bloomington, Indiana, and our sister city, Posoltega, Nicaragua. Proposed by a group of Bloomington citizens, the Sister City relationship began in 1988 with a Task Force established by then Mayor Tomilea Allison.
Participation grew from a few individuals to over 1,000 donors with affiliate support from schools, churches, and service clubs.
Bloomington Sister Cities has two active committees at this time. (If you are interested in establishing a new committee, please contact us.) Visit our committee pages. We meet the 2nd Tues of each month at City Hall, 6:30 pm.
